NEWS RELEASE
Boston (4 September, 2025)—Kinnami Software Corporation is proud to announce our selection as one of 15 companies advancing to Phase 2 of the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) Programme.
Kinnami is excited to advance into Phase 2 of the DIANA Programme as one of 15 companies selected from the 2025 cohort of 73—chosen from more than 2,600 proposals submitted through DIANA’s competitive challenge call. The company is especially proud to be one of only three U.S.-based organizations selected for Phase 2.

This next stage presents a unique opportunity for Kinnami to collaborate with NATO stakeholders and contribute directly to the development of cutting-edge technologies that will strengthen the Alliance’s operational edge. As part of Phase 2, Kinnami will receive €300,000 funding, continued access to NATO test centres, and tailored support designed to accelerate adoption and deployment.
Kinnami AmiShare, an AI-driven data mesh that secures and prioritizes data sharing even when networks are unreliable or bandwidth is limited — was selected under the NATO DIANA Data and Information Security Challenge.
In a world that is increasingly distributed, where operations depend on real-time data processing at the computing edge, traditional systems struggle to meet this demand, especially in environments where connectivity is unreliable, devices are diverse, and security is non-negotiable. Whether on the battlefield or in civilian infrastructure, failure is not an option.
Kinnami’s AmiShare platform addresses this challenge head-on. Built for the most difficult operating environments, AmiShare uses an AI-driven policy engine to automate how encrypted information is stored, routed, and delivered. This ensures that critical data is always prioritized and protected, even across disparate devices, coalition partners, or emergency systems.
For defense, this means NATO Allies can exchange mission-critical information across distributed nodes in multi-domain environments—where success or failure hinges on assured, secure data access. For commercial applications, such as electric grids or emergency flood response, AmiShare provides the resilience needed to keep essential systems running. It enables real-time orchestration of data flows, so operators can prioritize and direct information where it matters most, minimizing downtime and safeguarding public safety.
“By enabling resilient, flexible, and secure data exchange in communications-challenged environments, AmiShare goes beyond traditional data management. It is the cornerstone for the next generation of distributed, mission-critical computing. Participating in NATO DIANA Phase 1 has been instrumental in accelerating our progress. It has given us valuable opportunities to collaborate with allies and validate AmiShare in battlefield scenarios. Entering Phase 2 positions us to build on this foundation and advance our future gorals of strengthening defense and critical infrastructure resilience," said Sujeesh Krishnan, CEO of Kinnami.
James Appathurai, Managing Director of NATO DIANA, commented “DIANA is NATO's innovation engine. We are finding the most innovative technologies from the market; we are helping these talented innovators fine-tune their technologies and grow their businesses; and we are connecting the companies to end users so that NATO defence ministries can adopt new technologies at the speed of relevance, including through DIANA’s Rapid Adoption Service.”
“Phase 2 is a pivotal stage in our Accelerator Programme, and I congratulate these companies for making and taking this next step”, said James Appathurai, Managing Director of NATO DIANA.
Looking ahead, Kinnami will scale development, deepen partnerships, and validate new use cases. Kinnami remains committed to advancing innovation and strengthening a more secure, future-ready Alliance. Continuing the journey with DIANA, Kinnami looks forward to leveraging its tailored support, resources, and guidance and participation in real-world operational exercises to accelerate progress toward these goals.
